The People Were Screwed Again In Clarksville, Tennessee

All of the candidates and their opponents were invited to the Clarksville Economic Development Council political debate to be held on August 31.

The purpose of this debate was to have the listening audience get a clear picture of what the incumbents have done by way of legislation and what the contenders say they will do if elected.

I was dis-invited. Supposedly because Marcia Blackburn, the incumbent had a prior engagement.

The truth is I was dis-invited to prevent me from exposing the fact that the votes of the incumbents were primarily to increase the size, cost, reach and power of every agency including state agencies, they voted to fund.

The powers to be were afraid that you the voter after hearing what I had to say would ask the candidates and the incumbents how they would vote on specific bills which have been and will be proposed.

The answer is (that by their vote) that the incumbents will gradually increase the size, cost, reach and power of these government agencies, until the state governments themselves become handmaidens of the Federal Government.

This is the goal and the only thing those advocating more government fear is that you the voter will find out what they are doing before they can establish their dictatorship.

My pledge would have been that I would read the bills and do what I would expect you to do.

That is to ask a question of any candidate or any incumbent and that is not just how you are going to vote on this bill but also if this bill passes, will it increase the size, cost, reach and power of government.

“If you pass this bill will it increase the size, cost, reach and power of government?”

If the answer is yes then I would vote no and if I had been in the debate I would have encouraged the listeners that’s you to vote them out of office.

You the voter must realize that you are as qualified perhaps even more so than the people in office right now. Because you are the guardians of the Constitution. And you have enough brains to stop the growth of government by rejecting any bill which would increase the size, cost, reach and power of government.

We can live with problems. But we can not live under a dictatorship.

And this is where we (that includes you) are headed.

You and I have the power now to stop it.

Now you know why I'm not in the debate.

So your job as an American citizen, regardless of your politics, race and anything else is to find out whether the candidate you are questioning is going to vote yes or no on a bill which would increase the size, cost, reach or power of government.

If his answer is yes, do not vote for him.
