And You Thought They Were On Your Side

Are you in for a rude awakening

Let’s talk about government bureaucracies that we know are screwing us.
And groups that are supposed to protect people like you and me from these agencies.
I would like to use trucking as an example but this concept can be expanded to firearms, land, agriculture, trade and others. Use the brain that G-D gave you and you can expand this idea without me being the guide.
Let’s say that you have one government agency that regulates the trucking industry.
In reality you probably have 50 of these agencies that have something to DO with trucking. However for the sake of this argument let’s say you have one.
Bureaucratic Lunacy

This agency makes its own rules, regulations, codes, guidelines and standards.
They publish said rules, regulations, codes, guidelines and standards in the Federal Register and they have the power of law.
Now let’s say that this agency made 1,000 new rules, regulations, codes, guidelines and standards in a year’s period of time. That is a lot of shit being vomited on you by the masters in Washington DC.
Now let’s say that we truckers are paying a group to fight this government agency.
Our group takes 4 or 5 of the most egregious of these rules, regulations, codes, guidelines and standards and fights them. They may even get these 4 or 5 rules thrown out.
Did we win a victory??????
Our advocacy group is beating its breast. They tell us how HARD they fought and how they beat the government at its own game. They want more dues paying members. They want all of its members to tell other truckers how great this group is and to solicit other truckers for membership.
Now what really happened????
The 4 or 5 rules will be put on the back burner and brought up again in a few years.
The other 995 new rules, regulations, codes, guidelines and standards are in force.
The trucking industry has just been shackled with 995 more rules, regulations, codes, guidelines and standards. The government has just grown by 995 new rules, regulations, codes, guidelines and standards. Our advocacy group hasn’t accomplished anything.
If anything they lost.
Now if a trucking industry advocacy group wants to really get something done it should tell its members that we must have the House of Representatives cut off the money that is used to enforce these new rules, regulations, codes, guidelines and standards in the budgetary process.
What would happen to a proposal to put “black boxes” in trucks if the House of Representatives cut off the money???
It would be dead. No black boxes.
What would happen to this Federal Trucking Regulatory agency if the House of Representatives cut its funding in the following way?
In the 2014 budget all increases from 2013 will not be funded.
In the 2015 budget all increases from 2012 will not be funded.
In the 2016 budget all increases from 2011 will not be funded.
In the 2017 budget all increases from 2010 will not be funded.
You are cutting the government back in size, cost, reach and power in the reverse order it was expanded.
All of a sudden this government agency that is regulating trucking will disappear.
Now apply this concept to any other Federal Racketeering Agency and tell me what happens???
We will decrease the Size, Cost, Reach and Power of the government.
How come OOIDA and other such groups can’t come up with that program????
Thought you ought to know.

Fighting The Enemy

OOIDA and the NRA
Are there to take your time and money away.
